"The World Is Small"
(The title is an homage to Thomas L. Friedman.)
These days I am having phone interview with faculty members. Let me explain why I wrote "The World Is Small" for the title.
1. A university/T professor
K is my junior in high school and university. Recently K's academic advisor married and I heard her husband went to A university. Surprisingly K's academic advisors's husband, T professor, suggested phone interview with me. Wow! Even though he does not know about me, I have known him and his wife for many years. Especially his recent paper was so impressive that I could remember main content of his paper.
2. B university/T professor
I have known T professor for many years. I studied his paper and used simulator from his laboratory. Currently my friend A is working with him. I sent an e-mail to him and got a noteworthy response. Can I say this is Karma? Fortunately and thankfully my friend A plays a pivotal role in making me as a strong candidate.
3. C university/M professor
K is my co-worker and he graudated from C university. He wrote some papers and worked with M professor. With his recommendation, I sent an e-mail to M professor but I failed to have more process. But, at this time, my recommender C went to C university and got co-work with M professor. Then M professor re-suggested phone interview to me. (I thought C told M to pick me.) Now M professor told me, "The world is small." I absolutely agree with him. What a small world it is!

어차피 이 바닥이 다 거기서 거기더라구... 착하게 살아야지.. ^^;;
When I talked about you with her before, she didn't mention it strongly. :(
Anyway, everything seems good for you.
However, as you know, I have tough funding situation because of economic crisis. T.T
That is the problem.
